Editor's note

This exclusive distribution deal signals a strategic move to tighten supply-chain reliability for U.S. metalworking buyers. Sourcing through ACC now offers a single, national channel for Colonial’s specialty surfactants, potentially reducing lead times. Buyers should monitor how this consolidation affects pricing and technical support consistency across regions.

Colonial Chemical has appointed Advanced Chemical Concepts (ACC) as its national distributor for metalworking and lubricant additive surfactants, effective January 1, 2026. The partnership aims to improve supply-chain responsiveness for U.S. buyers by combining ACC's nationwide logistics and technical support with Colonial's specialty surfactant portfolio.

Partnership details

Under the agreement, ACC will provide nationwide coverage, including inventory management, logistics support, and technical service for Colonial Chemical's metalworking and lubricant additive surfactants. The arrangement is designed to serve both large national accounts and regional customers, particularly where stocking and rapid delivery are essential.

Strategic rationale

Daniel McCaul, Vice President of Sales at Colonial Chemical, stated: "ACC brings the technical expertise, logistical reliability, and customer trust we want in a national distribution partner for Metalworking and Lube Additives. They are a great fit to help deliver Colonial Chemical's products and create value for customers."
